By the time:
10:30 pm. - Jaris and I fell asleep. We were exhausted!
11:50 pm. - Joanne our nurse came in to take vitals (blood pressure, pulse, temp)
2:15 am. - Bathroom break, tossed and turned to get back to sleep
4:00 am. - New nurse Christine came in to do my next round of vitals
5:15 am. - Was wide awake from 4 am, and at 5:15 started getting pretty severe cramps.
5:45 am. - Called the nurse to come in, cramps were getting very uncomfortable. This was the worst part of the morning. Nurse had to give me an IV to flush fluids through me, hooked me up the monitors to check baby's heart beat and to see if I was having any contractions. They were very small and minimal but the nurse called my OB and she prescribed me to get the terbutaline shot to sustain any cramps that were consisting. The shot made my heart race and my hands shake, but that was one of the side effects to it. I was so cold and shaking from being scared, but my amazing husband was right next to me the whole time.
7:00 am. - After an hour of monitoring and the cramps subsiding, they completed the IV (weirdest feeling to have liquid going into your hand/arm) and took me off the monitors.
7:30 am. - Finally we fell back asleep. It was probably the best 2 hours of sleep the entire night Jaris and I got! We needed it.
9:45 am. - Woke up.
10:30 am. - Headed down to the cafeteria for breakfast. We needed to get out of the room, and it was nice to venture out. We call it "going on our field trips."
Here's some pics from the morning.
5:30 am monitoring and IV drip.
One of the veins they blew. Whoops.
Selfie! Hubs pushing me in the wheelchair.
The hallways here go for miles it seems!
Breakfast in the cafeteria!
Took a shower! Felt sooo amazing! It's fantastic just getting ready for the day!
Snack time, and of course I chose a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich (Thanks to Liz and her Instagram pic)
Once the morning was over and that was behind us, Jaris and I decided to lay low in the room. What's great about the hospital bed, it's big enough for him to keep me company for a bit. We snuggled up and watched TV. Mostly gearing up to watch World Cup which we are very excited about. After that, we had some visitors come see us! Jenni and Kim came to visit (from our small group) and they brought us Starbucks. We loved seeing their smiling faces. While they were here, Maria (teacher friend from school) and her daughter Eden also came to visit us. It was so nice having normal conversations with friends instead of just sitting in a hospital room! :)
Once they left, Jaris and I decided to get out of the room and go to the meditation garden in the middle of the hospital. It's probably going to be my new favorite place. It's so quiet, there is greenery everywhere, and the little fountains make it so peaceful. We enjoyed hanging out there for a bit. Then we headed back to our room, and my nephew Spencer was dropped off here for a few hours to play games. We played the game of Life because as he said "I'm bringing a Life into this world." It was cute. Jaris won by a long shot, then I took 2nd, and Spencer was last. After we got back to our room Jaris and Spence played some Clash of the Clans and enjoyed their bonding time.

My parents came later tonight and brought Jaris and I dinner. The gourmet Taco Bell really hit the spot! :) My mom was also awesome and made a "Countdown to Paisley" chainlink. I love that we have something to look forward to now, as each day passes, we can take down a chain off the link.
To finish the night, I'll be on the monitor for the next hour. I must say, this blog really has been my lifesaver. Being the tech saavy person that I am, it really has helped pass the day and will be a great memory down the road. I can't wait to share with Paisley all the stories that happened throughout our hospital stay. Thank you to those who follow the blog and keep updated with our status. This morning was a little scary and rough at times, but I know I just have to continue praying that everything will work out perfectly. Today's mantra was "Let go, Let God." It got me through this morning! Love to all!!
